Please join the Jersey City Brew Club as we host our annual walking tour of the homebrewers in Hoboken and Jersey City!
On this tour, we’ll enter the apartments of four of North Jersey’s finest homebrewers to display their setups, discuss their craft, and most importantly, open their stash of delicious homemade beer.
DO: Bring your thirst.
DON’T: Forget to eat a big lunch beforehand.
The tour will begin at 1pm on Saturday, June 25th at The Thirsty Quaker in Downtown Jersey City. It will conclude around 7pm, near the 2nd St Light Rail in Hoboken. To ensure the privacy of our brewers, the exact itinerary will be delivered via email to those who RSVP. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Because the law prevents us from charging for homebrew, we only ask that you pay the minimum $5 to cover the cost of your light rail tickets. However, this walking tour is a fundraiser for the club, so we suggest you choose the $30 option. You may enter any price you feel is appropriate though.
If you’re going to the National Homebrew Conference in Baltimore (June 9-11), please email jerseycitybrewclub AT gmail.com so we can coordinate. Our club will have a table at club night so we’ll be planning keg transportation, decorations, beers, and other cool stuff. If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still space available, and it’s a really great time!
In other news, our club meetings are back at HopsScotch for the time being. We’d like to thank Departed Soles Brewery for their hospitality, but as business picks up for them we want to get out of their hair. Meet up with us in the back room at HopsScotch Bar & Grill on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm. HopsScotch has a full beer lineup and great food.

Also, the Men of Charity Ministry at St. James in Basking Ridge is hosting their 7th annual Microbrew night and they are inviting homebrewers to serve beer this year. There is quite a lineup of local breweries that will be pouring. Any homebrewers that serve beer will get two free tickets and some other goodies as well.
The professional lineup so far includes Trap Rock, Tuckahoe, Bolero Snort, Cricket Hill, Boaks, Carton, Beach Haus, Angry Erik, Rammstein, and loads more.
If you want to serve, email Glenn: email@example.com
This month’s meeting is at Departed Soles Brewery, 150 Bay St, not at HopsScotch! We also have a guest speaker
Beer writer John Holl (All About Beer Magazine, American Craft beer Cookbook, and more) will be speaking to us during this meeting and sharing some brews. John gets beer mailed to him from all over the world and has traveled to loads of breweries around the planet. He’ll talk to us about the route he’s taken to get to this position, and he’ll be open to any questions you might have.
Also, Departed Soles doesn’t have food, so we’ll be getting some pizza delivered. Bring a few bucks to chip in if you want to eat.
Message firstname.lastname@example.org if you want directions to the location. It’s on Wayne St by Van Vorst Park.
