The Jersey City Brew Club is having our holiday party on Friday 12/15, starting at 7PM! We’re going to have a fun night of food and drinks with friends and brewers. Even if you’ve never come to a meeting before, you are welcome to join us to make some new friends and try some great homebrew.
Feel free to bring along any brews you want to share – food dishes are welcome too! The party will be at a club member’s house by Journal Square Square – by the intersection of Vroom St and Summit Ave. For the exact address, please join the JCBC Facebook Group, or email us at email@example.com.
This month’s meeting has been moved to MONDAY instead of our usual Wednesday meeting. We may be moving our meetings permanently as we are finding it difficult to find space on Wednesdays now. Please attend the meeting to provide feedback.
At this month’s meeting we’ll also be taking a vote on our club’s next brewery bus trip which will be in the early Spring 2018.
For this month’s Brewer Duel we have two duels that will be judged – Wee Heavy (Eduard vs Kendall) and IPA (Mike vs Kyle). Should be a fun meeting, so make your way over to Atlas Public House!
This month’s meeting will be held at Atlas Bar in the back room. Atlas is located right by the Grove St Plaza on Newark Ave. We’re excited to check out this new spot and may call it our permanent home, if the members enjoy it. Please stop by!
We’ve got another last-minute change of venue this month, unfortunately. We will be at HopsScotch Bar & Grill at 286 Washington St.
This month we’ll be tasting the brew duel beers using durian. We’ll also discuss the club’s upcoming walking tour (on September 30th, click here for tickets) and some homebrew contests coming up in the area.
Apologies for the late notice, but we’ve had a last minute venue change. Please do your best to attend this Wednesday’s meeting at 7:30 at McGinley Square Pub. This month we’ll be planning our September events – a brew fest at the Mac & Cheese & Chili cookoff, and our walking tour. We’ll also be judging this month’s brew duel which is beer brewed with daikon!
Please join the Jersey City Brew Club as we host our annual walking tour! Click Here for Tickets.
On this tour, we’ll enter the homes of several of the area’s finest homebrewers. They will display their setups, discuss their craft, and most importantly, open their stash of delicious homemade beer.
DO: Bring your thirst.
DON’T: Forget to eat a big lunch beforehand. There will be lots of places to buy snacks at though!
The tour will begin at 12 pm on Saturday, September 30th, at the beautiful gazebo in Van Vorst Park in downtown Jersey City. It will conclude around 7 pm, near the beautiful 45th St. Light Rail Station in Bayonne.
To ensure the privacy of our brewers, the exact itinerary will be delivered via email to those who RSVP. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
The law prevents us from charging for homebrew, so we only ask that you pay the minimum $5 to cover the cost of your light rail tickets. However, this walking tour is a fundraiser for the club, so we suggest you choose the $30 donation option. You may enter any price you feel is appropriate.
Please be aware that several brewers may have pets in case you are allergic. There will be at least one cat.
Tickets are available through Brown Paper Tickets.
