Each month we host a brew duel between members. Duelists get a coupon for 20% off homebrew ingredients and equipment to The Thirsty Quaker, and the winner gets a prize of an excellent bottle of beer or mead! Our duels typically use a secret ingredient drawn out of a hat, and sometimes a random style as well. Duelists have two months to complete their fermentation and serve the club for a blind tasting. Past duels have included some fun ingredients like coffee, pineapple, and smoked malt – as well as some wild ingredients like daikon, durian, and lobster!
